I'm Luke McMullin.
I am an interactive designer who specializes in Content Management, User Experience & Interface Design, Graphic Design, and Motion Design. I completed my Master of Science in Interactive Media at Quinnipiac University while doing web and content design freelance work, and I am currently looking for new full-time opportunities. As a result of my work, my clients experience more compelling design, smoother software navigation, and less frustration. On a personal note, I recently invested in a stand-up desk to improve my physical and mental health while working on projects, and during my off time I’ve been trying to step away from the computer and do something active.
My Beginning
From an early age, I was drawn to visual storytelling. Whether it was the worlds created in my favorite Nickelodeon, PBS, Cartoon Network, and Disney Channel shows, or the way design shaped real spaces like schools and malls, I was fascinated by how visuals set mood, guide emotion, and influence experience.
That curiosity followed me into high school, college, and beyond. I immersed myself in the creative arts and graduated with High Honors, earning a Bachelor of Science in Digital and Interactive Media Arts.
After college, I secured internships and a full-time role at a sign shop, where I gained hands-on experience in design and production. When the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted that path, I used the moment to refocus and grow. I took on freelance projects, accepted a part-time role with a Chamber of Commerce, and returned to school to deepen my skill set. There, I mastered the Design Thinking process, sharpened my UX and graphic design capabilities, and expanded into motion graphics. Shortly after graduating, I had the opportunity to join BeneLynk as a Graphic Web Designer, where I contributed to large-scale, user-focused digital content until January 2026 layoffs.
Now and Forward
With a recent downsizing of my previous company, I’m now excited to take on the next chapter of my career and bring my skills to an organization or client who needs strong, thoughtful design and content leadership. I’m driven by continuous learning and improvement, and I stay current by exploring new design methods, tools, and trends to create work that’s both effective and meaningful.
My Interests
In my spare time, I enjoy photography, performing music in a band, playing PC games, listening to music of all genres, and traveling to new places.
